Since I love getting cards so much, that means I have to come up with a great and fabulous way to display them. In past years I have scotch taped them around the window in our kitchen that looks into the living room. I wanted to do something different this year, since I was inspired my Sherri’s card display coupled with the fact that the window area already seemed crowded to me. (My stockings are hanging on the the living room side of the window…
…plus the fridge with all it’s paraphernalia magnetized onto it, butts right up to the window.)
Soooo, since I am officially on Christmas Break…pause for wild and dramatic screaming…I got inspired and whipped up… “The Great and Marvelous Christmas Card Display!” ;)
I hung up some old silver garland from years gone by with thumbtacks and a hammer around the kitchen doorway. Yes, I can ‘rock’ a hammer.
I debated how to hang the cards on the garland, but ultimately opted for ease and simply stapled the cards onto the garland.
I then attached a festive bow and hanging ornament from Mighty Dollar to the top and wala… a Beautimous Card Display!
I will say that it does sort of take over the room with its massiveness. It would definitely work better in a bigger space, but my tiny space is all I have. So deal with it. :)
LURVE it! LOL!
The tinsel was a great idea! ;-)
