Well, folks, that dreaded day is here.
The LAST DAY of summer vacation!!!
How did this happen??
We are planning a fun day enjoying this last day of freedom as best we can, hoping to make it to the pool and celebrate big! Sunday night, we’ll be prepping everyone’s things ready to get up bright and early Monday morning!
I said Wednesday that I would be spending these two weeks sharing some things I’ve been working on this summer with you, and now we are ready for the 2nd installment– something that is essential to a smoothly running classroom… dealing with work for absent students!
This While You Were Out Form. is perfect for keeping up with what work Johnny is missing… especially on his third day out.
I saw a very cute form on pinterest and decided to make myself one that would be exactly what I wanted. I’ve been using a photocopied generic version passed on for generations that I always had to cross out and write over to make the subjects all fit for me. I love that this one is perfect for me and it’s cute too!
This is specific to me and my subjects… We have Bible class and we alternate between Science and History, but maybe it will work for some of you.
I hesitate to always share the editable versions because I don’t want someone to take it and tweak it and then offer it to others as their own. So… I’m sharing the editable version with you only because I love you, and I know how annoying it is to have to cross off and add subjects. But please just don’t go and offer this on your TPT or blog as your own, okay??
For the editable version, you can download the font “making lettering tall” or just change the font and size to make it work in the space. If you don’t have that font, it will make everything look wonky when you download it, so don’t be alarmed. Just select and change the font and size.

Now, let’s all go enjoy this last day of summah-time!! And, by the way, can anyone tell me why the orneriest kiddos are NEVER ever absent?? :)

Thank you for sharing and for editing capabilities! Hope you have a great first week!
