So I finally got around to scanning my ultrasound pics. Hurray for me. :)
I was so anxious going to this doctor’s visit, and I was hoping for some reassurance to ease my worries. I thankfully didn’t have to wait too long in the lobby…. I went back with the nurse to do the weight thing and pregnancy test thing.
As she directed me to my room, the receptionist breezed by and said, “I think your husband is down there waiting on you.”
I said, “What???” I couldn’t believe it…
He had decided that morning to surprise me by showing up for this first visit.
I was so shocked and quite touched by his thoughtfulness. He likes to throw me a curve ball every now and then to always keep me guessing. :)
I was overjoyed to hear that Dr. Peach was going to try to squeeze me in the ultrasound schedule… The ultrasound tech did question me as to why he wanted me to have one that day, so I don’t know if she wasn’t thrilled about having to juggle her schedule. :)
I was so happy to see our tiny little peanut on that screen. It was amazing to see so we could breathe that sigh of relief. We were even so blessed to see and hear our little baby’s heartbeat. The doctor told us that it was good and strong which is great news, of course!
Dr. Peach even mentioned that he could induce me a week early and not let the baby hang around in “there” longer than necessary. :) So, we’ll see. I could have a February baby instead! You know next year is Leap Year, so as long as it’s not February 29th, I’ll be happy.
Here’s a few of the fabulous shots… That tiny little blob in the center of the circle is our little grain of rice…
Yay! Congrats again, Nay! Those first ultrasounds are some of the most beautiful things!
Sooooo exciting! The little one looks just adorable! Oh and we love the walkway, by the way! You are a lucky wifey…

Amazing! Are you going to find out whether it’s a boy or girl or let yourselves be surprised? Hmm, February – the 12th is a great day to have a baby! :-)
Oh that was wonderful that Chris was able to make it and he surprised you! I love the ultrasound. Thanks for sharing!

Oh Renee, I’m so happy for you and your little “grain of rice”, lol. That was so sweet of Cris to do; hubbys can really surprise us, sometimes, can’t they?
How is the morning sickness?
