Aren’t apps fun? I thought I would share some new educational iPhone {or iPad & iTouch} apps that I ran across.
Stack the States. I love how cute the little states are! You answer trivia questions about the states and then try to stack them as high as you can! This was voted Best Kids App for iPad and Best Educational Game App.
Speed Anatomy. This one looks really interesting and fun. Do YOU know where all your anatomy goes?? This will test you as you attempt to identify your organs. :)
Counting Bills and Coins. This one has lots of different ways to reinforce counting money.
Dinosaurs. This one is from American Museum of Natural History and has tons of info and pictures all about dinosaurs!
Space Images. Who doesn’t want to see real live images from somewhere in outerspace?!
I can’t wait to try these out with Haylee! All of these are free or at least have a lite version for free. I’m not big on paying for apps. If it’s not free, generally I don’t even take a second glance. I think we” have paid for maybe one app that I know of… angry birds. And when I say “we” I don’t mean me. :)
I have all these on the last “page” so it will be easy for me to have her just play the educational games without having to give her a list of approved games.
This last one is one for me. It’s called Groovy Grader. It replaces the old slide-out EZgrader from yesteryear. I do have an EZgrader somewhere I think, but it is buried in the midst of my alone and forgotten pile of teaching supplies. Plus, this one just looks more fun. :)
We don’t have a ton of graded things in 2nd grade, but I know that won’t last forever.
Check out this link for a bunch more for you to check out, and purty please share any must have apps with me too!
{Even if they aren’t educational!}
