Say Cheese, Please!!!!

We had a nice afternoon and evening over at mom’s last night. We got to see my new nephew who just keeps getting cuter and cuter, and we all adventured to try a family photo shoot with both the Swaringen and Stroud clans.
B has a studio set up in her basement but try squeezing 15 or 20 people in there, and things get a bit tight.
We did one of the whole Swaringen clan… all 11 of us… and then ones of each family entity as well. B has these huge lights down there that attempted to take away my sight. She kept the regular overhead lights off and proceeded to blind us with every click of the camera. It wasn’t just the “1, 2, 3 smile” shots either. It was the endless prequel to the event where Sam (the stand in photographer… he had specific instructions to simply push the button) blinded us again and again in an effort to see how things were looking. I made sure to make my complaints known, but to no avail. :)
I have no pics yet from that grand endeavor, but they will be forthcoming.

That afternoon, before the hoopla, Ryan and B also did some neat shots outside on the swing. I really like the look of outside shots with the natural lighting and such. I thought these turned out really well. You can check out more on B’s blog

The now expanded Stroud Family!

Mommy and baby… isn’t he the cutest thing ever?

After the photo shoot, we enjoyed some Chocolate Éclair, and the kids plus Uncle Ryan went for a swim. It was quite chilly for the rest of the adults, but we did sit out there and let Ryan entertain us with his wild antics on the slide and diving board.
Since mom and dad have opened the pool this year, I have yet to go. Somehow, when Renee is in the house, rain, thunderstorms and/or unseasonably chilly weather descend. Maybe one day I’ll enjoy a nice dip. :)

Mmm, I remember that pool! Lucky you! Here in Freeport all we have is the public one, which I don’t go to very often because it’s really expensive.

That picture of B and Ryan is priceless! I love outdoor shots, too. In fact, most of my wedding photos were shot outdoors.

Cold…Even Dan went with the family to the pool yesterday. Of course, we did avoid the pool on Friday. It was cold here.

Love the photos. Eli is adorable.
