Twenty Years ago today…

Twenty years ago today, I became a Christ-follower… a Christian. I’ve posted this before, but I thought it worthy of re-posting in honor of my 2oth Spiritual Birthday! I grew up in a good Christian home, daughter to a Christian School Teacher. I made a profession of faith when I was four but really began…

Easter Eggstravaganza

Hope everyone had a very Happy Easter. It was a bit chilly for Easter sundresses and sandals, but we survived. :) I know, I know. If we think we have it chilly…. ;) This was Wade’s first Easter, but I don’t guess he even realized it was a holiday. :) Haylee, on the other hand,…

Extra, Extra, Read All About It!

Check out our fabulous birth announcement for Wade! Aren’t they the most wonderful thing you’ve ever seen? I thought they really turned out splendidly and so unique. Don’t you love the little baby feet? Chris doesn’t appreciate the feet though… He said, “What’s with the feet picture?” :) B took these pics the day we…

Happy Eight Years!

Yesterday was our 8th wedding anniversary, believe it or not! It’s hard to believe that I’ve been a married woman for close to a decade now. I’m married to a thirty year old and pushing thirty myself. How did I end up getting so old? I was just 22 fresh out of college on the…

Shopping is easier when you have the figure of a four year old.

In case you’re unaware, Easter is early this year. It’s coming up this Sunday actually, which just happens to be 3 weeks after I’ve given birth. So… that fact makes shopping for a dress a bit challenging. :) I know that I don’t NEED a new dress. But… I know that I want a new…

Two Weeks Already?

Our little guy is already 2 weeks old! These two weeks have flown by in a flurry of adjusting to life with a newborn. It has been a “hot five” since we’ve done the whole constant feeding-not sleeping routine. Haylee will be five in May and is pretty independent. So… it has been interesting. :)…

Shameless Plug!

If you are thinking of getting spring portraits made… consider hiring my most talented sis who will be in town the next week or so… Check out the link for her different price options… which are amazing for the quality of service she gives! (I’m not partial or anything!) :) http://thestrouds.blogspot.com/2008/03/portraits-anyone_16.html

Some Fabulous Firsts

First Trip to Church! I got some preemie outfits at Walmart since he is too little for most of his clothes still. Daddy didn’t think that it was really necessary, but he decided to oblige me. :) His opinion was Wade needed only to be wrapped in a blanket, and he would be fine! All…

My Deep thoughts from Early Morning Feedings…

“Your children are the only ones who can wake you up from a sound sleep and still receive whispered endearments.” Am I right? Any other person such as a roommate, sibling, parent, or spouse that would dare wake you up screaming that they were hungry would receive quite the opposite treatment in fact. :) “Your…

Labor of Love…

Labor of Love, right? My labor with our bundle of joy started about 3 am Saturday morning though I wasn’t quite sure if it was the real thing or not. We had enjoyed dinner that evening with Chris’s whole extended side of the family at a nearby Seafood restaurant. Some would speculate that it may…
