So earlier this week, we decided to just donate the rest of Haylee’s clothes (infant to size 6) instead of trying to consign them. I had listed them all on facebook and sold quite a bit, but the remains have been staring at me and I was SO READY to get these boxes out of here. It was actually quite the huge project from the very beginning, getting all the boxes down, going through everything and repacking the marked rubbermaid boxes with only boy clothes. I hope to eventually have a place for the rubbermaid box in the closet or something, and as the baby outgrows clothes they can be easily placed back in the box. Sounds easy, right?
So after ALL the work (blood, sweat, and tears) I had already put into this project I was ready to be done with it, but those of you that know my husband at all know that he is ALL ABOUT getting a tax credit for any and all donations. Okay, that’s fine, but in order to do that, we have to take inventory and do other ridiculous things that seem retarded especially when I am ready for the said junk to just be out of the house already!
So he agreed to man the inventory task alone, though Haylee was his sorter, and I inadvertently kept getting sucked into the process… much against my will. :)
During the process, Wade found an infant sized hat that he managed to wedge on his own big head all by himself. This combined with his 3D glasses were just too much for the rest of us.
Wade found a guitar which he LOVES!!!
As we were walking to check out with it, he was cracking us up going to town on it. He was singing from a commercial they had just watched before we left, “Zoo Pals, Zoo Pals” then he would say, “Let’s sing all together!”
Haylee was just too old for her seven years… She combed through the racks pulling out things excitedly and bringing them to me. She was even more thrilled trying them on in the dressing room. Here she is modeling of her new pieces… :)
I was especially stoked to score these two large hardcover books…
I also picked up a few things for Baby Davis, so all in all I think it was a very profitable visit!
Wow, I used to love going to GW and finding some treasures. This post makes me want to go visit again.
