My new Nephew is here!

November 26, 2007… Jacob Brian Swaringen arrived! He weighed in at a whopping 10lbs, 5 oz!
Mommy and baby are doing great… Dad and big brother are too!

Haylee and I drove down to Monroe after school to see the newest member of the family. It seemed like the trip took forever, but we finally got there and were able to see Jacob…
Grandma and Grandpa left to get some food, and I discovered that we had a diaper situation on hand. It was that nice meconium substance and was stuck to his poor skin! Jen can’t get out of bed until tomorrow b/c of her c-section, and Mack as an option was out of the question. So that left the dirty deed to Aunt Renee. Jen thought it would be good practice for me. :)

I managed to coerce Mack into holding Jacob’s poor little legs up for me amidst his screaming while I tried my best to hurry. I did manage to get “things” everywhere and Jacob decided to spray a nice “fountain” during the feat! I am definitely going to have to get used to the boy factor. :)

The bad thing was while I’m changing this horrendous diaper in the middle of all the drama, Mack is doing lamaze breathing from the mere trauma of holding Jacob’s legs and being a bit too close to the action. :)

We had a good visit though, and I can’t wait to see him again!
He is a popular boy and already has his own website…

That’s so sweet! That’s too funny about Mac – I guess he hasn’t truly changed all that much, lol! Oh well, he’ll have to get over his squeamishness, because sooner or later he’ll get stuck with a “mess”!

Crazy cool. With all these people getting that crazy baby disease I’m surprise Heather hasn’t gotten it.

You’ve got to be kidding me! Mack can’t handle a dirty diaper for his second child? LOL What a mule!! And you can pass that comment on.

Hopefully your Wade will be a tad bit smaller come birthing time :-) BTW, we got your Xmas card yesterday and Haylee is getting so big! Hard to believe she’s going on 5 years old!
