Pizza Night!
This is a BIG week around here. Last week I spontaneously went up to New York to visit my fabulous and famous 95 year old Grandma Bunts in her nursing home.
After some whirlwind plans last Tuesday, things moved swiftly and she is currently on her way to North Carolina to live with my mom!!! We could NOT be happier to have her, and we all are resting easier knowing that she can live out her final years with FAMILY instead of in a nursing home. Being there for the few days it was so sad and makes me so sure that I need to do whatever possible to keep any family member I can out of a place like that. :(
Mom arrived home Wednesday at 2:30 am {so really Thursday!} slept a few hours and was up and at ’em bright and early at 6:30 in the morning trying desperately to get things ready for Grandma. It.has.been.crazy at her house. It almost seems like we should be on a quick home reno reality show called getting ready for Grandma! Things are definitely coming together though and are looking night and day from Thursday. Mom had a lot to purge and give a new home since she used one of extra bedrooms as storage, and it now needs to be used as a guest room for family coming to see Grandma.
Just ONE WEEK since this whole plan was set in motion, Grandma will arrive at Mom’s! We are so happy!
