Grandma picked up several dress up dresses for Haylee at a yard sale for 10 cents each! This is quite the deal considering they are about $20 at Walmart and Target. It is beyond me why a dress up dress would need to cost that much!
At the hospital with B, Grandma told her that she had a surprise at her house, but Haylee had to wait to see it.
So on the way home that night, I mentioned the surprise again. Chris and Haylee both said “From Grandma” at the same time. Chris called out “Jinx!” but Haylee, of course, had no clue what that means.
She replied, “Yeah, well, Grandma got me a surprise, but… it’s not drinks.”
She had us cracking up at her you-don’t-know-what-you’re-talking-about-daddy tone in her voice.
So, the next day, Grandma brought the dresses to the hospital and Haylee was thrilled. I even let her wear one there for a few minutes. I didn’t want to be too redneck you know. :)
What a steal! I’ve been looking for just such a deal for Claire. She wants some dress-up clothes like that, but I’m not about to shell out $20+ for a DRESS-UP outfit!! Hope she thoroughly enjoys them. :)
so cute and funny kids say the darnest things… ha ha ha
My girls all have some dress up clothes. I remember when my parents first gave them to the girls. OH the tears when they were told they couldn’t leave the house in them.
Well at least you try. It’s the effort that counts I guess.
Those are just tooo cute! I can’t wait till Breanna is old enough to play dress-up with me! :)
