Hunting for National Treasure

We had a National Treasure Movie Marathon the other night, and it was so fun. It wasn’t very frugal, seeing as we ordered through Time Warner’s movies on demand. (At least we didn’t use any gas getting to the video store, though!) The first movie was only $1.99 and the second one was $3.99. We were up after midnight watching them both, but it made watching the second one soooo much better.

There’s no way I would have remembered all the details from the first movie since it has obviously been awhile. I really enjoyed both of these movies. They were so well written, in my opinion, and I loved the fact that the cool “clues” throughout both movies were usually actually realistic. I also love movies that make History come alive. I need to think of a way to use NT as a motivation for my History students. It’s easy for them to view History as dullsville central.

NT 2 was NOT a disappointment! If you like the first one, or if you are a fan of American History, you should check them out!

Thanks for that idea and recommendation. I’ll check them out tonight in fact. Have you ever rented from REDBOX? They are those movie ATMs at HT. DealSeekingMom posts free Monday codes. They are only 1.00 any other time a night. I go to HT on Mondays and on the way out rent my free video. talk to you later. Jen

I only recently saw the first one about a month ago… (I know, I’m a little behind the times…LOL) so I am looking forward to the second. I really liked the first one. :)

Loved both movies too!! They are on my “anytime” movie list – meaning I can watch them anytime, any number of times! And the history is great! Makes us want to go to DC and PA to check out the clues for real!

I agree. It makes you want to see what’s real and what’s not.
