Fun Stuff

I know. I know. I think this makes my fourth post in the last two days. What is going on in the universe? :)
I wanted to share some neat baby things we’ve aquired recently… As we get closer we are getting more and more “prepared” for the big day.

The bedding that we bought did not come with a mobile. I could not find any store, online or otherwise, that carried the matching mobile. I did find it on ebay but while the bid was dirt cheap, the shipping was about $25 or so, I believe. :)
So…. that left me coming up with an alternative mobile that would match closely enough to satisfy me. I am very pleased with it and it’s so nice that we were able to get a mobile that works with the bedding!!!!

Check out this diaper bag courtesy of the fabulous Amy and Jackie… It came complete with his name even monogramed! Jackie actually made it herself, which is amazing to me. It’s sad how crafty some people are, you know! I’m a safety pin and tape kind of crafty. Does that count? :)

Thank you to Amy and Jackie!!

This beautiful blanket just arrived all the way from New York last week or so from my fabulous Grandma Bunts! She makes these wonderful blankets for each grandchild when they get married and when they have a baby. With all the grandkids that she has, that is no small task.

Her 90th birthday is actually this June and the family is planning a huge Reunion Birthday party to commemorate her big day. I am looking forward to showing off our new little man!

Isn’t this a cute chair? :) It’s a Newborn to Toddler Rocker/Seat. Mom had picked one up at a yard sale a while back that seemed to be so well suited for Eli and kept him occupied and satisfied when other methods failed! He was able to sit up in it more than a traditional bouncy seat, which allowed him to look around and be a part of the action going on around him…

I like the fact that it’s convertible from a reclining/vibrating seat for an infant to a more upright rocking chair for a toddler up to 40lbs. Haylee is even able to rock away just barely at her 38lbs. :) It’s one of the few purchases we’ve made baby-wise, but it was nice to pick up something new just for Wade!

I did get some $$ off, with a $10 off coupon from Babies R Us (I bought something at Motherhood Maternity store for the first time and received a gift pack with this coupon in it. All you have to do, fellow preggos, is update your registry in BRU with this coupon, and they will give you a $10 off card.) I also used a $5 off Bouncers coupon that BRU had in their magazine (This isn’t actually a bouncer, but the cashier was willing to try out the coupon and it worked!) and also $10 from one of my showers. This brought the total down quite a bit which always makes splurge spending feel a bit better! :)

Now, I just have to wait a few weeks to see Wade try all these things out! :)

Hmmm, that chair is really cool! I’ve never seen anything like that, but I like the dual functionality of it! Thanks for sharing your neat new stuff!

I can’t believe it is getting so close!!! And that rocker thing is a lifesaver, and the fabric on yours looks like it will hold up so much better! You should be able to just wipe messes off instead of having to take off the cover to wash it all the time!

See y’all in just over 30 days, yay!

Oh, by the way, that mobile fits in perfectly with the stars and everything! You would think that was the one that was supposed to go with it!
