Editable Cute Classroom Circle Labels!

We are at under a week until I’m back to school and life has reached the hyper crazy speed.

My great grandma Bunts who just moved down to NC has been in the hospital for over a  week and will be there another 2 weeks at least.

Haylee’s orthodontist consult resulted in trying to squeeze in 6 baby teeth being pulled {today} and getting her tonsils and adenoids removed …we hoped all before we go back to school. Turns out they can’t fit her in for the tonsils before school so we are trying to see if the Friday before Labor Day will work.

Chris’s insanely hard license test he’s been trying to study for all summer is today…

I’m doing my best just to hang on.

Oh yeah, and I’m trying to jam in all my back to school projects and try to find time to go work on my classroom.

In honor of my life’s craziness, I thought I would share with you in the next two weeks, some of the things I’ve been working on this summer!

So hold onto your staplers…

Cute Classroom Circle Labels

First up are these Classroom Circle Labels... these are random labels, lemme tell you. I already had the normal labels from Ladybug Teacher Files like scissors, glue, etc. For these, I just brainstormed all the things that I would like to have a label to help ME and the kiddos this year.  That is the nice thing about teaching the same grade and subjects. You have a leeeetle room in your brain to get things organized and pretty. This is actually the first year in the five years I’ve been at my school that I’m teaching the same grade and subjects two years in a row! Of course, one of the switches was b/c I decided to stay home when Davis was born. :)

Part of what inspired this label making project was deciding to go through my math manipulative game kit and separating all the different parts into separate bags or containers. They were previously organized into 20 or so student bags with each bag having a blue and red dice, pawns, money, counters, etc. The problem was that these are being used by KIDS, you know, and the bags were NOT all complete. That meant when we needed two blue dice for a game, students would line up at the game kit and search bags for blue dice. NOT a good use of our math time! Now I have a separate container for the huge amount of money and coins that we rarely use, but was taking up tons of room. The other things are all grouped together in bags… blue dice in one bag, red dice in one bag etc.

In my mind, I’m now envisioning a blissfully easy transition now with kids joyfully getting their red dice with birds singing and unicorns running. I’m sure that’s completely realistic, right?

Are you ready for the REALLY good news?????

Here is the editable file too so you can plug in all your very own random label needing items!  I used the font “making lettering tall.” If you download that font before hand, then the file should show up looking the same as mine. If you don’t have or don’t want that font, then you will have to change the font and size to fit and look right. {I just ask that you do not use these to make a new product offered on  your blog or TPT site. Thanks!}

Let me fill you in on this fabulous label.  The “Take a Number” label is an idea of mine that came from something I saw on Pinterest. I am going to put numbered clothespins all around the circle and hang it near my desk somewhere. Then when we are doing something where students end up waiting in a {noisy} line at my desk, they will just come up and take a number and go back to their seat. I will then call them up by number. Now, I realize that this may not work as effortlessly as I would like, but I’m hoping that I can tweak and adapt it so that some version of it WILL be workable.15 or 20 kids standing in a line waiting is just not good.

Does it help you feel better knowing you’ve organized something in your classroom that will make your days run smoother??

We can dream, right??
