I had a fabulous and so fun baby shower last weekend courtesy of Amy and Heather. Many, many thanks to you both for all your work!
It was such fun unwrapping all the little baby things. Haylee was my official helper and ended up being the Vanna White of the production holding up the items for all to see. Sometimes before even I had a chance to examine it!

It was fun having this type of shower with lots of good food and time for chatting and those ever-popular shower games! I know some people detest shower games, but I happen to enjoy them and their socialization prompting.

If it’s my shower, then I should get some things my way, right? :) One great game (note the tad bit of saracasm here) was the one where everyone takes off the amount of toilet paper sheets they think it will take to make it around your swollen belly. Nothing like humiliating the mommy-to-be right? ;) I’m being a bit melodramatic I know, but that sometimes comes with the pregnancy hormones I think. In case you’re dying of curiosity, I think my belly measured 11 sheets. I don’t know if they were two-ply or not. :)

I also had another shower at school courtesy of my fellow teachers and staff. It was fun being able to have some social adult to adult interaction with these people I work with every day! There is something about getting a group of Christian women together that can result in some wild times! This afternoon remained fairly tame, but we did have a good time.

I am so thankful for the showers of blessings from those of our friends and families helping us get prepared (if that’s possible) for this new little bundle of joy. :)
