{previously scheduled before I left for big bad Atlanta!}
There is NOTHING like a conference FULL of WOMEN to make you want to panic about what to wear. :) Atlanta is going to be hot, so one important criteria involved in my over-planning was finding something COOL!
I’ve come up with a tentative plan for my wardrobe, but I am a woman, so, of course, I have a right to be fickle and switch things up with one of the back up outfits. :)
Wednesday Cocktail Party…
It’s not really all that dressy by any means, but it’s something cute and girly… plus it’s pretty comfy. I like this choice since it is halfway between dressy and casual so I’ll be safe no matter what everyone else decides to do. :)
Thursday… {day}
This is a *new* to me skirt from my favorite thrift store! It will be fabulous for the new school year too. I think it was $2-$3.
Thursday Evening… {Cocktail Party #2}
I’ll be wearing this to Party #2! This is one of the dresses I bought for our 10th anniversary cruise a few years ago. It’s really comfortable, but it isn’t the most flattering since it is kind of like a baggy tent. I was excited to accessorize it, though, with a new belt I picked up somewhere you’d NEVER expect… the Mighty Dollar! :) YES! I did. I bought a belt for a BUCK at the Might Dollar!
Friday…
I found this awesome Banana Republic denim skirt at my Thrift Store for cheap-o, and believe it or not I actually bought the top BRAND NEW! Shocking right? It was on sale at the B.R. OUTLET store, and I was using a GIFT CARD, but hey, it still counts, right? :)
Extra {in case I change my mind} Outfits… :)
Because I’m a girl, I have the “right” to change my mind, so I’m bringing an extra “day” outfit and an extra “night” one too.
Can you guess if I’m a serial overpacker? LOL I think you’ll fit right in with everyone there. Especially like the way you belted that brown dress…and with your straight hair it looks very chic!
I think all the outfits are cute, but your two optional outfits are much better for the cocktail nights! Dressy but comfy. Take your original cocktail night outfits to day outfits.
Have fun!
Renee, I’m one of the handful of men in a sea of women that was at Haven. It was nice to meet you, and by the way, my entire wardrobe was a pair of slacks, a pair of jeans, and a couple of shirts. I did really enjoy your fashion review.
I really enjoy your blog and have nominated your for two awards. Do not feel obligated to participate but if you choose to check out the post here :)

I love the “new to me skirt”. I hope we see more of you in it. You look fabulous!!
