Don’t believe anyone if they saying moving from blogger to wordpress ISN’T hard.
Cuz it is.
But l know that learning ANYTHING new can be overwhelming, and trying to remember that it will take time for me to get familiar with a completely new platform.
And I will survive.
It wasn’t exactly the easiest of moves to say the least with hosting and domain and email issues galore.
Not to mention my blog was almost down for two straight days.
I’ll be sharing more next week about it all, but for now I wanted to say a giant, huge, enormous THANK YOU to two people that enabled me to have as little to do with the technical process as possible. Thereby ensuring I came through with a shred of sanity left.
Kristi from Creative Kristi offered to help me with the move after she saw my tweet about google disabling my blog.
{Who says networking on twitter doesn’t pay off?!} She was an amazing help and went above and beyond just moving my posts and followers over.
In a scary world of not knowing what to click, it was phenomenal to have her even add back almost all of my sidebar widgets for me as well as my nav bar and header!
She also basically had to go in and REDO it when I attempted to change things up yesterday, and everything went to pieces.
She offers blog design too, so if you looking for a blog designer, check her out!
I’m looking forward to being able to meet her at Haven in June!
My man of few words, brother also saved the day by first of all offering a spot with his hosting saving me $$ each month. {A huge Yay for that, right?!}
Then yesterday, after realizing my domain email had “broken,” he endured a DAY of hassle switching my domain from godaddy to blue host and trying to reset my email.
Mr. I-hate-to-talk-on-the-phone was on the phone with both of them MULTIPLE times, throughout the day, so I know I’m going to pretty much owe him for life.
That’s going to be annoying, I’m sure. :)
He has his own web design and print media business if you want to check him out!
I really hope that everyone is still out there!! Hello? Anyone??
It would be supremely awesome if you would let me know if you are seeing this just peachy keen in your reader as normal!
I’ll be talking more about this later too, but I would also love it if you would take a sec and join up with my Linky Followers box on the sidebar!

Google Friend Connect is going away for WordPress users next month, and this great replacement has popped up!
Have a great weekend! I’m hoping to put all my blog issues on hold in my brain and enjoy a Valentine Date at the amazing Maggiano’s tonight with my hunny!
Woot!
Yay!!! Welcome to WordPress!!
They say “no pain, no gain” so who knows what is to come for you in the future! :)
Your site is looking great – amazed how fast you were able to get things transferred over! Congratulations and can’t wait to see what else you learn and do.
Now you can post WordPress tutorials ;)
Oh yay! You got the email working! I’m sorry I wasn’t able to help more but since it was your brother’s account they couldn’t speak to me on the phone about changing things (yay for good security!). Thanks for the shout out & the opportunity to switch you over! Let me know if you need anything or have any questions!
Oh everything looks so nice and professional! I am completely impressed! :)
YAY!!! congrats on the move and glad that you are up and running. I can see your post in my reader with no problems. Enjoy your Valentine date
Yay. Read this on reader. Ur good. Also meant to tell u it means a lot to a reader when u respond. I know u must be super busy but its neat when u respond even later. Love ur blog
Oh, I feel your pain! Switching to wordpress was definitely the most challenging computer thing I’ve ever tackled…and I still have a few wrinkles to iron out with all that “technical” stuff. It take some getting used to…these new blog homes!:) Yours looks beautiful, by the way, and may I say I’m jealous that you have a designer!!;) (I’m particularly envious of those cute social media buttons…Would you share where you found them??)
[…] WordPress is the plugins. Really it’s the “candy” that keeps me plucking my eyes out over this crazy WP learning curve. […]
