A Birthday Blast with Barbie

Are you all dying to know how the party went? I’m sure you are hanging on the edge of your seat, biting your fingernails at this very moment. At the advice of my cake making expert, Ellen, and the encouragement of my mil, I decided to attempt the Barbie Cake pan even though it was missing…

Poor Jared… and Uncle Mack and Aunt Jen too

My nephew Jared has been struggling with asthma a bit lately and went to the doctor Wednesday with some more symptoms. His oxygen levels were so low they sent him to Presbyterian Children’s Hospital via an exciting ambulance ride. They were only supposed to keep them a night, but decided to keep him last night…

Happy Easter!

We had fun this Easter… celebrating Christ’s ressurection and spending time with family. We spent the afternoon with Chris’s family enjoying a scrumptuous meal and a fun easter egg hunt. Here’s all the fam dressed in our Easter finery… Kelly, Johnny, Miller and Gavin Billy, Robin and Haylee We were sad that it was sooo…

Whew! Seven Years We’ve Been Hitched!

So, I was inspired to share some of our wedding pictures from oh-so-long ago. It is hard to believe we’ve been married so long. Seven years. It doesn’t seem possible. At times, it seems as though we’ve been together forever, and at other times, I feel I hardly know him! Ah… the joys of marriage.

Fabulous, Darling

Is it a good thing when your daughter calls you “flabulous?” She’s heard me say that this or that is fabulous so she made an attempt at the word. Hmmm… is she trying to tell me something? Although, I believe she did specifically say my hairdo was “flabulous” so maybe I’m okay. :)

Blood, Bandaids, & Blanket Bizarreness

Yesterday was yet another crazy day. My life of late has been quite hectic as I’m helping in two big events coming up. March 17th is a friend’s wedding that I’ve volunteered to be the wedding planner/coordinator for. The closer we get, the more frenzied things become. :) The latest crisis is the minister cancelled….

A Day at the Park

Yesterday, B and I met some old friends at the Shelby Park for a playdate. Ashley and Jenifer (formerly Perrell… I don’t know their married names now…) and their little ones met us there for some playground action. We were friends, “back in the day” as I like to say. We went to church at…

Family Festivities…

Saturday night the family all headed over to Billy and Robin’s for a night of food, fun and fellowship. The meal was steak, brats, salad, and baked potatoes among other things. Mmmm, mmmm, good. :) Our steaks were grilled to order by the grill master himself, Billy. We got over there early and got to…
