My girl is currently obsessed with cartwheels as you can read on my description of her on my sidebar. She started practicing/attempting them probably around May sometime. And when I say practice, I mean practice! There is barely room in our Living Room to clear the furniture, but she manages. Though she has run into things and/or family members on occasion.
After weeks and weeks of practicing and practicing we have been shocked to see that she is quite good at them now! I mean if you’re never really taught how to do something or shown how to do it, I wouldn’t think you would be able to accomplish it just with practice. Because really sometimes you end up doing more harm than good, practicing and practicing doing something the wrong way.
Once the cartwheel was accomplished she improved her ‘game’ by mastering the one handed cartwheel. Yes, I said one handed. I actually am truly jealous of her since I spent much of my childhood practicing wishing I could do a cartwheel back in my “I-wanna-be-a-cheerleader-more-than-anything-else” phase. Oh, wait… I think I’m still in that phase.
So here’s some pics strung together showing some of her cartwheel skill… This was not taken with a high speed action camera (in case you couldn’t already tell that, ha!). These were taken one at a time believe it or not. She just kept cartwheeling away while I tried to get the best shot of her feet high in the sky…

ROFL at your closing comment. That's great that she practiced so much and improved her skill! Such determination! ;) Looks pretty impressive — any local gymnastics classes she can join?
