Isn’t it amazing what kids can memorize so easily? Last week Haylee learned the Lord’s Prayer in Bible class. I was SHOCKED when it wasn’t even the full week before she had that thing down!
As you may have noticed, she recently lost her TWO FRONT TEETH! She actually lost them within about a week of each other!
At her dentist appointment in November they kept telling her she would lose them both by Christmas.
Unfortunately, they didn’t realize what a chicken our Haylee is when it comes to pain. She balked at wiggling them.
I happened to be in the bathroom while she was brushing her teeth and noticed it didn’t look like she brushed her front teeth. She said, “No, I don’t brush those, because it hurts.”
No wonder they were hanging on so long! {Insert Bad Parent award here.}
We have also passed our 100th Day of School finally and can hardly believe we have already come this far! This semester we’ve done a lot more “getting out” than before which is equally exciting and exhausting. It is worth it though knowing I am giving my social bug some time with little ones her age. :)
We’ve done story time at the library a few times, a Monkey Joe’s 100th Day celebration, a big Homeschool Bowling outing, meeting other HS friends for lunch, and a pretty neat Fancy Nancy Tea Party at the library.
Can you believe this was all hosted by the library… for FREE??
