I was excited to have a Baby Shower Lunch given by my fellow teachers and staff.  It was scheduled the last day of school on a week that was… shall we say… less than happy.  But despite all that, several of us gathered at a nearby Mexican restaurant to celebrate.

We enjoyed time to eat and chat and just chill.  Something that is so. nice. to. do. with. grown-ups!  Before the meal was over, two older dudes stepped over to the gift table. One of them made a crack about not being invited to the shower, and then he LAID DOWN A TWENTY!   What???!!!!  Apparently, before I got there, some of the other teachers I guess were joking with them about coming to the shower or something.  Wow! Can’t say I’ve ever gotten a donation like that at a shower before.

We didn’t end up with a decent pic of the crowd, partly because of a waiter who apparently couldn’t quite figure out how to take a picture with more than four of us actually IN the picture.  Then when a more competent waitress attempted, the giant window was too bright…  

 

Oh well…. you get the idea…
