Our school is participating in a clothing drive called Room in the Inn which gives area homeless children and adults hats, gloves, backpacks etc. Well, I decided to have my class write their business letter a while back to an area store and ask for a donation for this drive…
Out of my 30 students from both classes, we had three responses. Kohl’s donated 60 of these dinosaurs and 6 dinosaur books as well! Two Walmarts donated gift cards. One was $50 and the other was for $35 . Pretty cool for the kids to see that everyone and anyone can make a difference…
We’re had a school-wide Thanksgiving assembly yesterday and all the goods were on display! Our class also got a shout-out in the school newsletter this week, which we thought was totally rad! :)

That’s great! I think it’s really important to teach children about giving to others in need. What a neat way to see they can make a difference too.
OH, good for you and your kids! What a clever idea!
That’s awesome. Always the over achiever.
