Life and Times of the Crazy Busy

Well, I am sadly in need of updating, and I really don’t know where to start! I sometimes feel as though I’m barely keeping my head above water juggling all the things I’m supposed to be getting done.

I went to the Teacher’s Convention in Greensboro Oct. 31 to Nov. 2nd. It was fun and a nice break, but I was beyond ready to get home. Haylee stayed with Aunt B and Grandma, and I got a call from B as we were just getting to the hotel. Eli was sick and she had taken him in to the doctor and brought Haylee with her. Well, her doc looked at Haylee and listened to how she sounded and told B he thought she was sick. So, he looked in her throat and informed B that he thought she had the dreaded Strep!
So I talked to Chris and then decided to call our pediatrician and set up an appointment for the next day. Turned out she did have strep, and it was great to be able to catch it early enough that it didn’t really affect her. She had complained a bit of a sore throat but had no fever or anything.

Well, because of the sickness drama, she didn’t get to go trick or treating with B, so B promised her that they could go after her dr visit on Thursday. (She also bribed her with ice cream! Hey, whatever works…) So, where would she go trick or treating the day after Halloween, you may ask? Why, to Grandma’s, of course! She dressed up in her Cheerleader costume and headed outside to knock on Grandma’s door. Luckily, she’s still young enough to be content with that. :)

She had a Fall Program at school Thursday night. It was sooo cute, and she was so excited about it. I’m not speaking to my camera at the moment, because after being fully charged in the morning before school, it had not even enough battery to take a single picture when the program started. We did have the video camera so at least some of the memories will be preserved! After it was over, she was so disappointed. She said, “Is it over?? I want to sing some more!” Our little diva… :) It really is amazing what she is learning. I continue to be shocked and amazed. She is actually sounding out small words now… That just blows my mind that she would be capable of doing that after only 9 weeks or so of school, but I am thankful that she is able to have the opportunity to be in a good school!

It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Before I can blink twice, it will be Christmas and then the New Year and then I’ll only have a month or two until the big arrival! We are so sad though, that B and Eli will be leaving us soon! They are flying out the day after Thanksgiving for Texas to get things ready for Ryan’s return in December. Texas just seems so far away. It’s been nice to have everyone close by since she got here last March. At least they are planning to come back for Christmas which will be nice to look forward to…

This will be Ryan and B’s FIRST time living together since they got married two years ago. The Military has kept them apart up until now. I know they are thrilled to be getting to live together, but they will have a harder time of adjustment than most newlyweds b/c they will have to adjust to each other with a 6 month old thrown into the mix! I think their lives would make a good sit-com or maybe a reality show. :)

Well, that is all for now… I should be posting a baby update soon… :) Sorry no pics!

A blog post! yea. WOW, I am amazed you’ve found any time at all, as busy as you have been!! Sorry to hear about the strep… but I am glad they found it before it became more serious. I’m in the real thick of things at school right now… how’s Chris doing?? It is VERY hard to believe that the holiday season is upon us!! Before you know it, you’re family will be one more member richer! ;) Glad school is going well.

I love to read updates, but have to admit I’m a little glad you have slowed down for a second. With this incredibly slow connection and the blog family growing it has been a challenge posting to everyones blog.
