Well, the party went well, I think. I ended up having only 5 people as 2 cancelled shortly before the party started. I think everyone had a good time and hopefully no one was pressured into purchasing.
I am trying to get things in order for us to head off to the famous Howard Family Reunion this weekend. Chris is taking a half day today and we plan to head to the Cherokee area this afternoon. We will be staying in Chris’s parents camper which is great fun especially for Haylee. I think she may consider it a playhouse just for her since everything is just her size. :)
Chris’s grandparents are also going and camping next to us. It is such a treat to be able to have time to spend with them. This is Chris’s mom’s side of the family that we are all going to be seeing. They are quite a unique bunch to be sure. We went last year for the first time and it was very interesting. :)
Most of the family books this one particular motel and Friday evening that’s where the party is. The motel is shaped like an “L,” and inside the “L” is a courtyard area with a pool. Everyone brings out their lawn chairs and sits outside their rooms while the kids play and some swim. I’m talking quite a large gathering, here. I don’t know how many siblings PawPaw has, but I know there are quite a few, I know.
The celebration is from Friday to Sunday, but we will be heading home Saturday night since I get to report back to the Fertility Clinic bright and early Sunday morning for blood work and an ultrasound. We will miss the most fascinating aspect of the reunion… Sunday morning they have a preaching service in the graveyard that holds all the Howards that have gone on before.
We didn’t get up early enough to make it last year, so I still have to leave it to my imagination. :)
This is a picture of Chris and his dad at the graveyard many moons ago, in June, 1995. Chris was almost 18. (Don’t you just love those pants?) ;)
I think we will try to go to my appointment Sunday ready for church so we can zip on over after, and try a new church. I think we’re going to give Northside a break since everything is up in the air with their pastor. We’ll see how that goes… ;)
Have a nice time! That sounds like a lot of fun!
I’ve been praying for ya’ll with your church search. I hope you find the right place, soon. It’s always hard to leave the known behind. Are you set on Fundamentalist churches only? Otherwise I might be able to recommend one or two?
Those pants are awesome! :) Glad his style choices have improved over the years!
Hope y’all have a blast!
Hi,I went to two Lia Sophia Parties last fall. I was very impressed with the jewelry and the company. I thought it would be a great business opportunity for someone.
Meanwhile, I was praying for a way to pay for my Kids Private education. Then a good family friend said “I’m becoming a Lia Sophia Advisor and you should join me.
After much prayer and investigation, I signed up.
David wondered how I could fit one more thing into my life. Then he saw my first paycheck and asked “When’s your next Party?” It has been fun and profitable. This fall Both Derrick and Darlene can go to Cook Inlet Academy.
Hope you have a great time with your family. We are travelling to Oregon to see my family the end of June. Then we are going to Colorado to See David’s family. His Mom moved down to Colorado last Sunday. We will get to see her new home.It is a mile from Denise’s house.
Greetings form the Alaskan Bunts Family.
