6 Weeks and Counting…

I thought this cartoon was pretty funny. I’m not quite this bad yet… Just turning over in bed is a reality check, though. You don’t really realize how much you actually use your stomach muscles until you no longer have the use of them. :)

I’m now officially 34 weeks today! Only 6 weeks to my due date and a mere 4 weeks to the possible induction date. I know I keep playing this broken record, but I just can’t believe how fast time has flown. I’m sure the last few weeks may drag on as I eagerly await our little one’s grand arrival!

My blogging friend, Rachel, has referred to a pregnant woman’s right to change her mind. So…. I am hereby exercising that right.

My original plan… well, I guess my actual original plan for the crib bedding was frogs, but then my second original plan of helicopters and airplanes has officially been overturned. The set I had my eye on was available online only at Walmart. Chris wanted to me to delay the purchase so I have been waiting. I’m such a good wife, aren’t I? ;) Well, I discovered last week I think that the set is no longer available online at Walmart. Since, Chris put the brakes on the bedding purchase, I figured that the only logical recourse would be to purchase the MUCH more expensive helicopter bedding set at Babies R Us. It’s only fair, I thought.

Well, I managed to convince my dear hubby to make the trek to BRU on his day off, but I was so severely disappointed when I saw the bedding and realized it was just not going to work with the wall color in the room. It had a predominant olive-almost-army-green color that would clash with the bright green walls in their room.

That put me back at the drawing board. I was supposed to already have this settled. This is way too late in the game to be searching frantically for the “perfect” bedding.

So my disappointed self and family headed home, but Chris decided to stop off at Walmart and pick up some frozen wings for his dinner. And what did I purchase? Why this bedding set! Who would have thought that I would just see something spontaneously in the store and make the purchase.

I am glad to have the decision and purchase behind me. I am loving having the crib set up and bedding in place. There is something about having the crib ready to go that makes you realize this is really happening. There’s going to be a baby coming SOON! :) Chris thought that my protruding belly would be reality enough, but this hits you a little more clearly…

I know it won’t be long….

You do seriously look great — so excited for you! The time has gone by super fast. I love the bedding you got… glad you found one. I know that when that nesting sets in, it’s hard to fight it. LOL. Have a great weekend!

How cute is that?! Are you guys coming to the family reunion in NY June 7th? Jono and I are actually going to come to this one. I’m surprised that he is willing to come with me. Hope you can come so I can meet Wade :-).

Really nice set, Renee! I’m glad you were able to find something that you liked. I’m waiting still to find out if I’m having a boy or a girl, and then I think I’m going to get to work and sew a new crib set. The one I got for Peter’s birth is a bit “icky” now, to say the least. (Well, it’s not really, but that’s my excuse because I NEED a new one, lol!)

You look great, and you’re in our prayers for a safe and healthy delivery!
