28 WEEKS… Whoo-hoo

I turned 28 weeks on Wednesday… Hard to believe that another month has passed. Time is truly flying by. I have a feeling that when I return to school after Christmas break that my due date will be here before I know it! That is a good thing about working and staying so busy.

I have gained another 3 lbs this month which brings my total to 12 lbs I think. I hope I can keep it to only 3 lbs a month, but somehow, I’m thinking that’s probably not going to happen. :)

We’ve had a warm streak here lately and I’ve been sporting some more summery type clothes. One of the other teachers commented that I must be hormonal or something b/c her classroom was freezing and I was dressing so light. :) Well, I may be hormonal (Just ask Chris, he would be all too happy to concur I’m sure.) but my classroom seems to always be so hot. There is a thermostat in there, but I think it must just be for psychological show. I gave up long ago adjusting that, b/c it makes NO difference in the temperature of the room. My only recourse is opening my two little windows for some fresh air. :) I think it’s going to cool down quite a bit next week, so I should be okay then.

We only have two days of school left before the break. Yippee! Tuesday is a half day with our Christmas party and school wide Chapel so it will be a half day filled with CRAZINESS! On recommendation of another teacher, my class is doing a Breakfast menu for our party which may help with the hyper-going-crazy-because-it’s-the-last-day behavior. Maybe, but I doubt it will be a stress-free day. :) For some insane reason, when asked if fifth grade wanted to sing a song for the Christmas Chapel, I said yes. What exactly I was thinking, I’m not sure. We’re just singing two songs, but I know I will thinking and worrying about that too on Tuesday. :) Hopefully, they will remember what’s going on and my boys will not get up on stage and decide to have a party. :)

My Room Mom has handled all the planning and organizing for our party which has been such a blessing. I’ve never had a Room Mom before, but I’m learing that it is a fabulous idea.

Haylee had her Christmas program last week and it was, shall we say, quite entertaining. I don’t think it went exactly as the teachers would have hoped, but it was enjoyable to watch. Haylee was the ornament holder, which meant that she was the one from her class that got to walk over to the tree and put the ornament on. Very exciting, you know.

Yesterday, her class had their Christmas party and her ambitious teacher put on a whole performance for the parents enjoyment. They were all dressed up in Nativity Scene wear and her teacher narrated the Christmas story with the kids piping in here and there. They sang quite a few songs for us as well… Away in a Manger, Joy to the World, Jingle Bells, Twelve Days of Christmas, and even Jingle Bell Rock. :)

She has learned so much this year, but we are looking forward to our time together over Christmas….

Wow, maybe it’s not the same for you, but the last three months have somehow flown by, but yet were so slow. Can’t explain it.

I have a request. I was wondering if you could scan a picture from when you were pregnant with Haylee so we can see you pregnant with both. I just thought that would be cool.
